Default Mk1 Tachometer Motor?!

Hi, I have a few things that I am searching for at the moment to get my 106 back together. The Car is a 1992 XSI 1.4.

Firstly, I need a rev counter (tachometer) motor as mine has broken. I can't find one for a series 1 anywhere, but have been driving around with half the instrument cluster hanging out as a result! Any ideas/suggestions where I might find one?

Once I have a working one I can start re-building the interior!

Cheers, Alwyn.

There's this one eBay at the moment, no affiliation with seller. Any good?

Or if you don't fancy forking out £92 (I wouldn't!) Why not buy a generic stand-alone aftermarket rev counter off eBay or any motor factor - usually cost about £20 - and either run it as is or rebuild it into the casing of your original tach. It shouldn't be hard to wire up, just positive, negative and a signal wire from the crank or hall sensor. Most of them have a switch on the back to select how many cylinders your engine has when reading the signal.
