Default Replacing wire cable on sliding Door.

Hi folks.

I've bought one of these little cars in canary Yellow. I saw her in a salvage Auction on a Cat D. She's on a 06 plate with 50000 miles on the clock.

Car took a side impact on the o/s drivers side. Drivers side door is mangled and the sill beneath the Door has also been pushed in. Also damage to the passenger door.

Anyway, I've already replaced the doors. One thing though, the passenger door does not automatically shut or open. On further inspection, I noticed the cable that comes out of the chassis of the car and attaches to the bracket that slides on the rails is missing.

Does anybody have any experience on changing or replacing this wire cable? The actuators work fine. When I press the fob, the door pushes open.

Also, does anybody know how to remove the glass out of the door? I need to remove the glass so I can get access to the bolts off the exterior door handle. I need remove and replace with the ones I took of the damaged doors.

I will use this thread as a progress thread so anybody who's interested can follow my progress on my yellow Canary!

I paid 550 for the car. I will post pictures tomorrow with the new doors fitted and a little guide as to how I replaced them on my own.

Ps. Mods. Is there anyway I can change the title name to this thread?
