Default Drops totally out of gear slowing at junctions

Hi all first time forum'r, apologies in advance for posting with a problem!!
Proud new owner of an 06 reg 1007, loving it so far other than its leapt from gear whilst slowing to a stop at junctions and roundabouts occasionally. Getting automatic gear warning on the display and dashes where the gear selection should be, after a min or so of wiggling the gear shift and paddles (don't know if it helps) it re sets its self. Had a c2 vtr sensodrive previously and am familiar with the old disconnect the battery and re set while pressing the brake trick, anyone any thoughts?
Cheers muchly.

I would get it plugged into a Peugeot planet / diagbox and see what faults are flagged up ..could be anything like an actuator or ecu!

Cheers v9dwh, i'll give that a try. Its a bit intermittent tho, will it have logged a fault on the computer or will it need to be plugged in while its driven until it does it?

If it doesn't show as an intermittent fault then it'll be in the fault journal, so yeah, it'll show up somewhere.
