I recently put my peugeot partner van (2002) in the garage for a slight problem with the speedo needle being a little erratic (sometimes dropping and staying on zero). After coming out of the garage, the speedometer works and doesn't stick etc however it doesn't line up correctly. The garage said that because the van was originally from Ireland that the speedo was tampered with to work correctly as mph instead of kmh and now it is broke and needs replacing. Do I really need to replace this or can this be fixed?
Is this a speed sensor fault? Any ideas on how I can fix this? |

I doubt it's a sender fault.
Get a cheapo speedo off of ebay or summat.
