Default partner combi servicing etc

hello all I have just found this forum after just purchasing a 2006 partner combi 1.6 hdi with 46000 miles on the clock..( I have always had berlingo vans up till now and now fancied something with side window and rear seats for a change ) so whilst I am waiting to pick it up I thought I would do a bit of research and are trying to find out what are the service intervals and also when to change the cam belt..???? and anything else that I should know as I always do my own maintenance.... thanks Steve.....

well I picked it up today and it,s got a service book with it so hopefully it will tell me what needs doing and when..
it seems a nice ride compared to my 1.9 berlingo van (quieter engine and not so much road noise ) and certainly a lot quicker...

my only slight thing is that if you really thrash it from standstill ( like through 1st second and third )it feels like the clutch slips momentarily just for a second...if you drive it normally ( as I normally would ) it is just perfect.
I dont think it is actually the clutch slipping and wondered if this model is fitted with a duel mass flywheel and if so is this normal behaviour ???
the history of the vehicle is it has a full service history...2006 model.....1.6 hdi 90..and 46,000 miles..
it,s my first peugeot and I love it....

Steve....

No dual mass in these. you're safe there, It is imperative to stick to the oil change intervals on this engine.
If at all use Total INEO ECS 5w30 oil for it. These engines suffer big time from bad servicing practices and bad quality oil.

thanks for your reply David, it looks like the clutch might be slipping then although its not doing it all of the time..it seems to do it most at around 50mph in 4 th gear and then trying to accelerate on the flat or on an incline..I have phoned the garage today ( main dealer ) and they said bring it in, if it needs replacing it would be warranty...

I will take your advice on the oil and use the one you have reccomended and I take it a genuine oil filter is best...I will probably change the oil at around 8,000 which is a bit early but must do it more good than harm.. (i have always done oils on my diesels a bit early..

thanks for your help.. Steve..
