Hi all
Just bought a combi 2.0 Hdi, when travelling at around 35 in 4th gear it judders like crazy until you change gear into 3rd, it will not just cruise along in 4th, surely I can travel in 4th gear at 30ish? The garage said it needed a egr solenoid, which has now been replaced, but the problem is still there ( surprise) Any ideas please? |

I have a 407 HDi and tend to be in a gear that is one tenth of the mph I am doing on a flat road. At 30 in 4th, I'm doing about 1,500 rpm but the only disadvantage seems to be that the torque has not developed, so normally I stick in 3rd to 35mph.
Is your gearing the same? (That said, it shouldn't be juddering - you're not in 6th are you? .)
