I have an 2000 espert and one of the injectors has a leak from around it, can this be repaired using the same injector or is a new injector needed. Can anybody advise me on this please.

Depends on the cause. Hopefully the joint has failed and a new sealing washer and a retorque will fix it. If it's an HDi, do not drive it like that - the fuel is under tremendous pressue and is perfectly capable of punching a hole in a piston top (or severing a mechanics finger) if something is awry.

No, but it's highly advisable.
