Help needed with the trip counter

I have a Peugeot Expert Tepee through motability. I have had it about 2 weeks but I cannot find the trip counter for the fuel. Do I have to upgrade accessories for car to enable the trip counter function ? Can someone please advise as I am going round in circles looking for the answer.The model is the 1.6HDI LF AC MP
All i want to do is see how many miles to the gallon i am getting and i just can not seem to find it anywhere some one said it to do with the windscreenwiper arm but beats me.
