glow plug light? help

on my expert van there is a red light on by the temp gauge when i turn the key when i start the van it goes out what is this,i thought it might be glow plug light but when left for around 3 second or more before starting it still doesnt go out only when i start the van

ps . you don`t want to tell this lot theres a red light on or they`ll all be round to yours.

It will come on if engine temp gets too high!

What you are describing is normal operation for it!

Have fun in the amsterdam van!
