Gearbox 330 SWB

I am buying a new motorhome based on the 330 SWB Van.

2.2 with a 5 speed box.

I am informed (by a salesman so it must be true, I don't think) that a modified gearbox is now fitted to all the new Vans. Is this so?

I think it has a lower reverse gear to overcome any judder.

If the gearbox fitted is now modified since what VIN number or date did this happen?

Some of the motorhome conversions can be almost a year old before they actually get sold, and I don't want one with the old gearbox.
