Expert Cd Player (03 model)

hey dudes. i'm new here.

My 03 expert has a rather perculiar problem with the Cd Player. these cd players are common as muck and seem to be in every pug/citroen since 2000 or something.

anyway, when i switch on the ignition the cd is read and begins playing immediately. however, when i start the engine it doesn't play at all. except on the rare occaision it will come on out of the blue and play perfectly, no jumps, no bumps, just perfect.

odd eh?

possibly something to do with the voltage???

i do hope someone out there knows a way to fix this? i just wanna listen to my favorite cd's that's all.
