I have recently purchased a Motorhome with a Boxer as the base vehicle. Unfortunately it doesn`t have an owners manual. Could anybody tell me what the light on the dashboard that looks like a padlock means?

Padlock usually means immobiliser/door lock , but wait to see if anyone knows for sure.

Hi Yesterday I took my Boxer motorhome out, journery was fine but just as we were driving a light on the dashboard came on that looks like a padlock. When we stopped, we couldnt start again. It seems that it is some kind of immobiliser that has kicked in. We had to call a recovery vehicle to get us back to a garage. Do 2003 Boxers have coded keys or built in immobilsers?
We also have a scorpion alarm thing that you have to touch a plastic key too to get the red light to go out before the green light comes on and then you can get the ignition key in and start up.
