Hi,
As a newbee to this forum, first of all hello to all and I hope someone can help me with a query. I have a Boxer 2.o HDI motorhome which is coming up to 5 years old and 12500 miles on the clock, I am informed that the timing belt is not due for replacement until 72000 miles, however, I have heard from differing sources that the the time limit is either 5 years or 10 years. Can someone assist please? Thanks Stewart |

You are correct, under normal circumstanaces the service interval for cam belts (OEM) would be 72k. However, it is recommended to change at or before 5 years anyway as minimal use of vehicle can cause belts to crack as they can go brittle with lack of use. The potential damage, cost and inconvenience caused by not changing/ taking a flyer far outweighs the peace of mind from knowing you have a reliable wagon........especially in foreign climes !!!

Did mine at 62,000 miles but it should be done before 60,000miles 72000k. Nottting happened to me but it could have been expensive.
I agree with Nos get it done soon for peace of mind.
