Default 807 Software Upgrade

I'm having an ongoing saga with a software upgrade that ocurred with my 807 2.2HDi last year. Basically I have lost some functions and others have changed, including:
a. External mirror position is no longer memorised with seat position memory function
b. External mirrors unfold as soon as car is unlocked; as opposed to unfolding when engine is starting
c. Windows do not open when unlock button is pressed twice on key fob.

I have been told that there is nothing that can be done unless PSA issue another software upgrade reinstating these functions.

The biggest pain is a. above as there is a 14" difference in height between my wife and I!

Have any others experienced this? If so, have you found a fix?

Bull shit tell them to restore the original settings to the human, machine interface system, the only updates should be the engine management, internals should only be update if any major changes are made.

You have paid for these features !!!! Spoke to PSA in my neck of the woods and they tell me that any changes must reflect the exisiting software system, unless a safety recall has been issued. Mirrors unfolding upon unlock is fine as regulations state that mirrors must be in position prior to the engine running to prevent the driver from accelerating with the mirrors obscured, should the system fail!!!!

Sounds like in your case the software version is out of date, check with PSA which version should be installed and either check your system or have another dealer check which version is installed.

The dealer (a Peugeot franchised dealer) is just as p*ssed off about it as I am. He was unaware of the unexpected effects of the software update; he just received it from Peugeot UK and loaded it. The dealer hasn't got the previous version of software, and Peugeot will not supply it. Peugeot are aware of the problem and advise that they know of the changes but state that there is nothing that they can do. I have spoken direct with Peugeot UK on the matter also. I have requested that Peugeot revised the software again to reinstate the functions but.........................
The dealer has taken legal advice as he is in the position of having removed items from my vehicle without my permission.

How does one check the version of software? And how does one check if this is the latest version?

My 307 displays the software version on startup eg: system load hold down menu function and go to system parameters it should be consistent in all peugeot, but another dealer would tell you with in 5 minutes, also check the manual for the version specs and go to a website called peugeot service tell them the vin number and they will be able to tell you which version you should have. Then ask peugeot which version they installed during the upgrade.

My advice I wouldn't trust the dealer... Period......

They charge to update software and since it is under warranty then they are not making much from it. So stuffing up the software and reinstating it i going to cost them..... They won't roll back the software, they will tell you such and such. Consulting legal advice is bull they don't care, these are dealers for crying out loud, cost cutting is what they specalise in. Don't be fooled my friend, stand your ground and take my advice demand the software be rolled back, and now!!!!
