807 Door Problem

I have a Peugeot 807 and the drivers side electronic rear door will not open electronically. Pressing any of the door opening buttons (key, centre consol and rear door) only opens the door a few inches & if I keep pressing the button it opens a few inches at a time - when it reaches fully open and I press the button to close it - it still tries to open more. If I open the door manually and then try to shut the door electronically the door still tries to open. Is there a reset procedure that I can try before going to a dealer?
