Hello,

I have the above van and I have had issues with it for the last 2 days.
Every so oftern there will be a 'snapping' noise (like a mouse trap shutting) from under the bonnet, this is followed by puffs of blue/grey smoke out of the exhaust followed by the engine warning light on and a loss in power.

If you turn the engine off for a few mins and back on the light goes out and all is bak to normal for a while.

Could this be the EGR valve? If so how hard is it to fix/replace?
Can the valve be removed and blanked off (as with some older 4x4's)?
If not the EGR valve, what else could it be?
