Default 307 51 plate needs attention £450

Peugeot 307 Hdi Xsi 2.0 51 plate

115000 miles 6 months MOT tax till June 2012

Ok before you get too far reading about this car I need to tell you that it has several problems.

One major problem is that the engine management light is on and the anti pollution fault beep is going off on the on board computer. - Peugeot diagnostic says this is a Turbo pressure signal fault possibly new sensor needed or maybe the wiring. The car had a new DPF filter at 92000 miles although the ECU also gave a filter blocked warning until I removed it and cleared it out.

Other problems include:

Pretty certain cambelt has never been changed

Bonnet catch is worn so bonnet doesn't close properly - New catch cost £25 on Ebay

CD player doesn't work - tape and radio do though

Electric fold out drivers side wing mirror works 80% of the time

Horn works intermittantly (mainly doesn't but passed MOT) - have read up on this fault and it seems like a fairly easy fix - just corrosion on the contacts.

Drivers front light has condensation - passed MOT with this though

Airbag fault light is on

Fold down armrest is broken

Key is knackered and can only be unlocked manually lock button works though

Other than these faults the car is a runner. The reason I am selling is because I don't have the tools or time to be able to fix it. I'm sure that anyone with a bit of know how could sort this car out and have themselves a nice cheap runner. Either this or you could break it down and sell the bits off. Most of the panels are in good order few small dents on the roof and light scratches near the door handles. Alloy wheels have a few dings but the worst is shown in the picture. All have good tyres although the rear right is getting close to the limit.

I presume this is the 90bhp as its a '51 plate, so that has the DPF too - I thought that only came along on the later models?

That'll be a nice day trip for you John

i always thought DPF's were definate Post 07 to be inline with euro 4 emmisions but were optional pre-07 if that makes sense.

i know if i get a project car, the DPF will be done in the way martin (bettyswollocks) like it....huidini style or who dun it style

My 90bhp 2.0HDI 306 (2001 year) didn't have DPF, and I would presume this would have been the same engine for the same year. Surprised the OP's car has a DPF
