turbo upgrade gt15 to gt17

calling d-turbo peoples, i am looking at upgrading my turbo from a Garrett gt15, which i know is a good turbo but i just what that little bit more if ya get me, i have a front mount inter-cooler running around 18-20psi, but wanted to know if a gt17 would fit if soo what sorta gains if any i would get i know there would be slight more turbo lag with it being bigger n all but is it poss, i know people have got a gt25 in there before but thats a bit too much as mine is a daily, i am a mechanic so gonna do all fab work me self any way, just wanted oppnions really
