Strange question I know .. Can I get a set of 15" alloys over my front brakes ? Looking to put a set on with winter tyres, and been offered a cheap set of 106 GTi alloys, 15" which I assume will be correct ET & Pcd. Just will they go over the stoppers ??
Also am I right in thinking 195/65 x 15 would be correct ? |

If it fits at all it'll be very tight over the brakes, and it'll destroy the handling. Offset is different on the 106.
If you're after a set of winter wheels I'd try and find a set of 16's or 17's from an SE or Sport.

Cheers, yep, had a look and don`t think 15`s are an option . Think I need to find a set of 16`s . The missus wasn`t impressed when all the cars at the toddler group took off out of the car park and she was stuck fast ! Brand new tyres on as well, the 308 Gt is officially useless in the snow !! The neighbors Kia Rio has no issues ... Need thinner tyres at the very least, a set of snows on 16`s woulld solve it hopefully .
Are 307`s the same ET ? What is the ET on the 308 ? Came from a vauxhall background where the offsets were a lot higher ... Last edited by MrBean; 12-24-2010 at 09:01 AM. |
