considering buying a 2008 plate but not to sure on bhp and think if i buy it will it be slow?sluggish?or do i get a remmapped or chipped would i really see the difference as im so use to a 20 litre cdti vectra and well im wanting the sw as i think they look pretty nice.any help appreciated please

You need to test drive the 207 to see if you can get on with the smaller engine. It wont be sluggish but it is 1400. There are bigger sw's if the 1.4 doesn't suit you. Is it petrol/diesel, because the guys that know remapping will be better placed to reply.

Dont know personally but 30bhp can be added to a 1.6 hdi. and about 35 to a 2 ltr hdi. this is by removing the antipollution systems and remapping. This wont apply to petrol. There are some poeple about,try googling for tuners, should turn something up. What about a 2.0 307 sw ?

You can get a non turbo petrol remapped but you will not see a great increase in BHP
ie. you can expect to get less than 10bhp extra from a non turbo petrol but approx 30bhp increase from a turbo diesel. A remap company will give you a better idea. Celtic Tuning seem to offer the larger increases Ellite Remaps also seem to know what they are talking about You should expect to pay anything from £200 to £500 depending on the remap company and the amount of increase in power you want
