Default Eco-remap

Hi, just wanted to know from members who have had a remap, can you really expect to get between 10-20% in fuel savings ?
Thinking of getting my 2.0 hdi 90 SW remapped and it seems i would get about 25 increase in BHP but really want better fuel economy not just extra power.
Thanks

Hi Betty, thanks for the reply, thats an increase of about 30% mpg.
Was that just a straight forward remap or did you have other modifications as well ?
Thanks

Not where i`m from , you on the other hand i`m not sure about CAT , the FAP doesn`t matter you can remove that , some of the other guys might know better about CAT regulations in England.

How come it was that low around town? I got about that when my injectors were completely wrong for the car. Before the FAP problems, and the Engine Change, and then FAP removal I got 44~ around town in pretty heavy traffic.

After FAP Removal I'm getting 49-50 around town when driving normal with a reasonably planted right foot, it's been in the late 60's when driving like a slug shifting before 2k.

It wont affect the MOT, if your car fails it's probably for other reasons. My car smells a little more pungent since it's removal but it barely smokes after initial start-up. And since all we have in the UK is a smoke test, it's all good.
