Thumbs up 407 Owners

Since we are all owners (or non-owners) of PUGs and in particular the 407, I would like to hear from you with regards to your experiences with the car. Was there any particular "joys" or "woes" that you have encountered in the onwership of this marvelous car.

If you're looking for that magic carpet ride of the Citroens, be it XM or whatever, it's not there. It's firm and suited for a spirited drive. But you've got to give it an A++ for good handling with those front double wish-bones.

Hey J2EE, do you also have a 407?

I Recently bought a 407 HDi 136 SE.
I'm only getting 41 MPG on a run,
Any other 407 owners out there with similar prob?

Another thing is that the engine does not start again immediately after switching off the engine.
Peugeot service centre informed me that this is normal,
so you have to wait for minutes before starting the engine again.

Other than that, this car is excellent!

Yup, I have the 407 2.0. Petrol. 41 mpg is good, I'm getting about 35mpg only - petrol.

When you switch off you're supposed to wait 30 secs before re-starting, but mine's ok if I restart it immediately. Agree with you, the 407's a good car

Hi, I'm from the Dominican Republic.
Are you guys talking about miles per gallon or kilometers per gallon...
41mpg is GOOD
The only reason I am not a 407owner is because it has no headroom nor legroom for my huge size...

Hi Superfestiva, we're talking about mpg. I agree, 41 mpg is very good.
