Thinking of another holiday in Scotland.... told her after the cost of this year's holiday abroad, we're not going abroad next year

Went to Scotland 3yrs ago ish, and really enjoyed it. Hired a motorhome for the week and did a tour.... Perth, Loch Lomond, Oban, Fort William, Inverness, Aviemore and back to Dundee. It was good to see so many places in the week, but think it would be better to go specifically to an area and spend more time in that area rather than on the road. Did like the West area - Loch Lomond, Oban, Fort William etc

So can any of you recommend anywhere in particular that would be worthwhile looking at for a week next year? Looking at renting a cottage for the week, and taking it from there

Next time your around Loch Lommond take a drive along the Glen Fruin Rd voted the second most beautiful road in the UK for it's outstanding views.

It's on my daily commute to work, and early summer mornings with mist are incredible, as you drive along with the mist in the valley below you.

Isle of Skye. Been there a couple of times on the bike. Amazing.

Didn't go up the Glen Fruin Rd last time.... went up the A82 along the edge of Loch Lomond. We did enjoy our time around Loch Lomond, I have to admit.

Thanks for the suggestion Malcolm - will take a look and find out a little more
