Just in case others like myself are into diagnostics for all makes , we could discuss pros and cons here ,i have -

Peugeot Planet
Citroen Lexia
Citroen Proxia
Renault Can Clip
Op-Com (Vauxhall, Saab)
VCDS (VW , Audi, Seat , Skoda Group )

Vag Handheld
FR704 Handheld (Multi Software)

What do you think to the Op-com? I've been thinking of getting it as wife's astra is always a problem.

I assume Renault clip is similar to planet? able to code keys, read all ecu's etc.

Been thinking of getting this also
VAS 5054A VW Audi Bentley and Lamborghini Multi-language diagnostic tool

Anyone used it or know anything about it?

It`s the older Citroen one .

Op-com is a good bit of gear , try these as well , the handheld has interchangeable software for reading nearly all kinds , the vag-com is dealer stuff same as clip,planet and op-com.

Cheers for advice Betty, got myself op-com and the VAG com.

So far only used the op-com but for the money it's a great bit of kit.

Clip will be next on the list.

Anyone suggest a good bit of kit for fords that covers most models and won't break the bank.

Cris , i bough this : FORD SCANNER F-SUPER INTERFACE - $28.99 : Nandtools, Auto Diagnostic Tools

Not used it yet but a mate says its not bad and does most things , cant moan at the price PLUS it recodes the injectors to the cars so its money back in the first hit !

I also have Clip which is pretty good once you get used to it (same website) and i have snap on MT2500 with all vehicles module. Im thinking about selling this for the Solus Pro but it seems they have gone up massively in price on Fleabay!

Quite comprehensive , the snap on does 90% of stuff and has been a great investment. As i say im looking for a solus pro as its even better

I'd looked at the f super before and wasn't too sure about it as the list of supported models seems small or is it it will work on most fords?

I`ve only used the clip twice but it seems limited ,unless there`s more it can do , reading faults and clearing is all i`ve done.

i was thinking about buying Ford IDS - basically the ford dealership tool...it is going for around £400! does ford, mazda, land rover and another i cant remember.

wouldnt it be good if you could get a device that will connect to all car makes and basically support all dealership software such as planet etc. would be pricey but good....i think i just found my dragons den!
