At one time, vehicles over 25 years old were made exempt from Road Tax charges, on the basis that they rarely hit the road anyway. Then our fiend, sorry friend Gordie stopped the 25 year rule, and made it so that pre-1973 vehicles only are exempt.

Hummm…………… isn't that a bit like trying to stop time?

Since then, another xxx,000 historic vehicles have reached the 25 year age, but these vehicles are NOT exempt from road tax. Seems grossly unfair to me.

If you agree, there's a ePetition that if we get 100,000 signatures for will force a Parliamentary debate on the issue, which MIGHT just get the exemption extended more equitably.

If you're prepared to sign this yourself, many thanks, but better still would be if you could also pass it on to as many sympathists as you can think of.
