Hello!
Today i have changed the oil and put the 5w30 total ineo mc3 in my Peugeot 307 hdi 110 . I wanted the total ineo ecs but they didn't have it , so i put the mc3 . I looked for the specification and it says it's for the BMW and Mercedes, so is it a problem that i have put it in my Peugeot ? Should i change it and put the ineo ecs , will it make any harm?

Used to be able to get the Total INEO ECS from the local Total petrol station until it became BP. Now rely on T'internet.

Buy Engine Oil Online, Best Engine Oil, What Engine Oil To Use, UK
or (same seller)
[ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Total-Quartz-Ineo-ECS-TOT-151261/dp/B002SR76R8[/ame]

They sell it in the local Peugeot dealer but never asked about the price.

In my perhaps faulty opinion any oil marked with C should be ok. As a matter of fact it seems like the C2 oil is the worst of the C-oils. C2 have a bit more phosphor and a bit lower high temperature viscosity, it saves fuel but cloggs the dpf a small bit faster. I would just buy the first C-oil i could find and change the oil with no regrets.

Even an non C-oil could do it if you are just using it for a short time. The diffrrence is not so big if all the other specs are up to date.

The classification rules can be found on the ACEA website.

So in short: Just look for a C and change the oil, lack of changes is a bigger problem.
