HI

I have a 2010 2.0lt 3008 Diesel full auto

When driving, it goes up the gears fine to 4th, then that's where it stops.

I can put it in manual mode to go up to 5th and 6th and then back to D and it will stay there OK.

What would be stopping it going up higher.

As a side note, if I drive very carefully and accelerate incredibly gently it will go into 5th, but never 6th.

Last week it was fine on a 200 mile trip

hi...I have a 2011 egc[auto]and found when I picked the car up it was slow in gear changes...I found a good straight road and floored it until it went into 6th after that it was fine...good luck..
Just to clarify ...the gearbox is a manual with a clutch but changes gear electronicly..E.G.C.....electonic gear change :thumb:

Thanks for the replies

It's not an EGC it's a full auto. I had a C4 Grand Picasso EGC a couple of years ago and aware of the floor it method to recalibrate the gearbox. Doesn't work on the full auto, although if I do floor it it will go into 5th at about 4k revs and the plots into 6th at over 70mph

It is in the garage tomorrow for something else, so I will ask them to check the gearbox oil level and top up. See if that sorts it

You could have a look at your gearbox seals to make sure they are not weeping. I love my 3008, shame everything is a pain in the ass when you want to service or replace something. I had two 405 turbo diesel estates 8yrs each and they were wonderful. I still keep 2 Morris Minors and a Marina just for backup and you can work on those lol

Garage had a look on friday and it a drain & refill type, so they are going to order in the correct oil and give me a shout. I shall let you know if it solves the issue.

My other issue is a sticky throttle air mixer (or something like that)
MiL comes on intermittently, but doesn't affect the car. I just clear it and carry on with life. Apparently its quite a pig to get at, having to remove the manifold to replace it.

Bit of further reading, and it may be the pressure sensor on the gearbox.
You can get them on eBay, but know idea where they are on the car, so will book it in at Peugeot in a few weeks time when I am on holiday and get them to look at it and change them.
