Hi...this is my first time on the site and I've registered on behalf of my partner. She has a 60 plate 207 1.4 which has done about 67000 miles. On Sunday the anti-pollution warning appeared along with the engine management light. The car seems to be down on power and has stalled a few times going up a hill. She has a 3 year warranty but as she has done 12000 miles in the last 12 months they won't look at it. I'm not a particularly mechanical bloke do any advice or help would be appreciated as she needs the car daily for work. We live in Barrry.....thanks in advance
Also maybe linked to this issue, the garage found the rear exhaust box blowing. Could that be the cause of my issues?
To finish with, the weirdest part; they said they found the coolant bottle completely empty (i drove 100 miles the previous day to collect it and the engine wasn't overheating or anything) and a driveshaft oil seal leak. Could those be linked? Could the coolant have gone down to the CAT and mess up with it?
For the £100 miles i drove with it, i didn't notice anything wrong, the car was driving well and the exhaust wasn't blowing smoke nor there was any "outside" visible leak. My main issue here is that I have been quoted £700 to fix all of those issues and I don't have that money right now and I'm worried it won't even solve the EM light issue at the end.
I would greatly appreciate another opinion and some advice.
I just bought a second hand 206 (1.1 petrol 2005) and I really advice on it. It was sold to me for very cheap with the EM light on. The seller told me he got it checked and it was a Lambda sensor issue and that this EM light has been on for the past two years and the car had no problem passing the MOT emission test (from my understand, the EM light was "reset" just before the MOT so it could pass but then after a few miles of driving it came back.
Now, it took it for a service and full check yesterday and it came back with loads of problems.. First, the error for the EM warning came out as "CAT AGING FAULT" and the garage is quoting me £460 to change the Catalytic converter and lambda sensor. It passed the emission test last June and has only done £3'000 since. Do you think the CAT is dead or might it just be the sensors that need changing?
Hello I have recently bought a 55 Plate Peugeot 307 Feline but within 2 weeks i am having some problems on it like ABS Faulty and ABS/ESR faulty with annoying beeping on the display panel. And about a week ago it has started to lose power now and then when accelerating and jerks as i am driving in lower gears and couple mins later its driving fine again.
I have checked the Air Filter which is clean and added RedEx in the tank to clean the injectors so far.
Would a diagnostic with your machine pinpoint the problem and what would need to be done to get it fixed?
Also what you would charge to do a diagnostic test on it and i can arrange to come to you when its convenient for you.
I have just bought a 207 SW estate 08 plate and have 2 problems.
1. I would like to install an AUX cable to the RD4
2. The buttons on the key fob don't work (although the central locking works fine with the key)
I wondered if you still do diagnostics and would be able to help?
