Default ''reversing sensors'' 407

Hi (again).

I wondered if anyone could help with a problem i have with my reversing sensors. These are standard fit equipment.

Since my engine repair (nuff said) the warning 'beeps' are very hard to hear. Previously they were loud and i could not miss hearing them but now it is so faint. I didnt know if this was a 'planet' only fix or a manual thing even i could do to turn them up!!! Just a thought (dangerous i know) but could the fact that my radio is stuck in silent mode be relevent?

Any thoughts/ ideas or options (other than learn to reverse properly) much appreciated.

thats annoying no doubt, just jammed one day? I used to always smack my knee on those when I got into customers cars and the seat was too far forward.

I would say that if they are the sensors that dim the music when you select reverse and use the same speakers as the music then wait until your musical dilemma is resolved before you start probing for errors that might not even be there.

If they arnt the ones that dim the music then there could be a control box either in the spare wheel well or behind the cover on the NS wall of your boot where you can adjust your speaker volume

Luke69

Many thanks for your imput.

I cannot remember if the music dimmed or it was just loud enough to hear???

Im sure the 'engine cowboys' would have had a good route around the boot so when the stalk arrives i will certainly check your suggestion.

Much appreciated
