Rear wiper arm help

Hi there can someone help me please. How do you remove a rear wiper arm on a peugeot 307 the year is 02. I have taken off the nut but it just jammed on. Do i just need to to pull it thanks dean

What normally happens at this point the wiper breaks and leaves the thick metal washer attached which is a royal pain in the arse to remove , i covered my back window and paintwork and used a grinder (carefully) until nearly through then pulled of with pliers , new wiper arm of fleabay around a tenner posted , job done.
