I have a peugeot 206 1.1, its my first car just as a runabout, and after having it a few month it has developed a wobble on the o/s (drivers side) rear wheel, I am a HGV Mechanic myself so can have a go and can get access to a press etc, but after having a look I believe it doesn't look too bad a job, im not sure if you can just get a new radius arm with the bearings pressed in or just get a new bearings kit or what so thats all I need to know, I would rather just replace the bearings etc than a whole axle, there i a lot of play and the wheel can be pulled away from the chassis pretty badly, not in such a way that it will fall off ha, but yeah, anything will help, but please reply as im attacking it over the weekend with my friend.
Thanks |

Secondhand axle cheapest option. Repairing it will cost £££££!

Yer thats what I thought, although you can get a repair kit on ebay for 40 quid, but my concern is with it having so much play maybe the axle is worn also, getting a second hand looks to be the best bet, just finding a one which isnt the same :/

The axle tube will most likely be very worn. The needle bearings in the swinging arms wear into the tube rendering it useless.
