Default Please help with fuel consumption Peugeot 307 2.0hdi 90

Hi, have a problem with fuel consumption. Its 25mpg driving in city! Something wrong, i had 406 2.0hdi 90bhp before and i was getting at least 37.
Its same engine and i cant understand why mpg is so low??

The belt was changed, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter. I cleaned the MAF sensor made no difference, tried to disconnect the maf sensor still same, not even error message, check with pp2000 - there is no faults. I just dont know what to do.. Its only 81000 on a clock.

Any ideas? maybe its MAF? if disconnected or connected no difference, maybe its time for a new one?

Thank you

if the maf was fine, when disconnected you would notice a sever lack in power and obv if connected and working you would have this power...so sounds like the MAF is duff...unfortunately it will cost around £100 mark for a new one...apparently the cheaper ones of ebay dont work.

i would also check the little things like sticky brakes and tyre pressures.

£33. Worked perfectly.

Pressure in tyres fine, checked brakes last week when changed ball joints on both sides all ok. Its just strange fuel consumption (25mpg) its like petrol with 2.5 engine

So hopefuly its MAF sensor, cause everything else is fine, no smoke, pools like it should no problem at all.

Try to order 1 today.

Keep you informed how it goes.

Thank you all!
