Hi everybody.
I'm new to this forum and I have one question. About a year ago, I bought a year 2003 Peugeot 307 XS (2.0 103,6 KW petrol engine). So far, I drove about 8,000 miles and I am very satisfied with it. Mostly due to low quality petrol and some part bacause old lambda probe (diagnosed by mechanic) i have at least a dozen Antipollution faults without any effect on car performance. All that error codes were each time cleared by same next door mechanic with LAUNCH diagnostic device. Last week i went to official service store for Oil and filter exchange, and have a little discussion about (what they say) very common Antipollution fault. They recommended change of coil and both Lambda probes. And also, they warned me that ecu can handle only 50 error codes clears and than it's gone forever and I will have to buy astronomically expensive new ECU. I am very worried about that, because i bought a used car with who knows how many errors allready cleared, so is my ECU maybe almost dead ![]() Are they right about Ecu's 50 clears? |
