I have a peugeot 307 54 plate and when car is moving slowly and let off accelerator to change gear keep getting this annoying squeak, took it back to peugeot when bought they told me it was something to do with the accelerator and they sorted it out.It as now come back and of course its out of warranty, Please does anybody know whats the cause of this and could i sort this out myself.

Does the noise sound like its underneath the car?
Is your car 1.6 petrol?

im going to keep an eye on this thread, just to satisfy my curiousity
you might think it could be the clutch as it is when you are changing gears, but i had the whole kit replaced and it still did it...

Its the flange on the exhaust i reckon. There is a modified exhaust flange kit with a sealing ring made of a different material to stop the squeaking.
