OBD scantool trouble - 407 Envoy HDi '09/'10

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else had issues connecting a scantool to a 407 HDi? I've used Autel scantools and Elm and they won't connect. Is there another brand known to work?
Any ideas what protocol is used? CAN500 for example.
