Help with Lexia 3 Purchase

My son has a 2005 307 1.6HDI 110 and wants cruise installed. I have just acquired a Citroen C4 1.6HDI 110 VTR+ and it turns out that it has DPF issues.

So, it looks like it's time for me to get a Lexia 3 and wade in (I'm OK with the technology but more used to VAG-COM). Three questions:

1) Many of the Lexia 3 adverts I've seen say that they won't work with 307 after 2004 year. I've searched around the forum but can't find any reference to this. Can anyone shed light? Are there suppliers who can supply a verson that is OK with later 307?

2) (Sorry, this isn't really a Peugeot question but someone might know the answer): Does the software that comes with the Lexia 3 cables automatically cover Citroen as well? I've seen lots advertised as Peugeot/Citroen and most have both logos on the main cable, but in all cases the documentation/screenshots doesn't mention Citroen at all.

3) Can anyone recommend a good source to purchase from?

hey, heres some answers;

1) yes it will work, the chinese sellers of these dont have a clue about the product but they do work.

2) Citroen and Peugeot use the same hardware its just different software, peugeot use planet, citroen use lexia...but i beleive they both use diagbox now. you normally get both softwares on the same disc. but yeh the no different hardware is needed.

Still puzzled by the "Chinese sellers" bit . Some of the sellers saying it won't work on the post 2004 307s are UK based, and the source you gave a link to was, presumably, Spanish, and it said the same.

I'm reluctant to spend money on something that won't work. Does anyone else have experience of using these on a post-2004 307 (I notice that yours is a 2001 model)?

yeah its 99% chinese sellers as thats where they make the clone devices.

most users on here who have planet have used them on post 04 models 307s and reported it works...bettyswollock can back me up on this.

mine was a 2001 model so i have some experiance of what the device can do.

its as i say the sellers dont know much about what the devices as they are selling other devices and more than likely havnt tested it. they mainly copy and paste the descriptions from one another.

Slightly different question now:

PP installed and reading codes fine. However, the Wiring Diagram application opens an instance of my web browser and takes me directly to https://sedre.mpsa.com/blahblahblah and requires a username and password for entry.

I need the wiring diagrams so how do I access them?

with lexia pp clone you are only able to use pp2000.

I have download PP from here. Is it possible to buy the interface cable kit on its own? All of the kits I have seen include the software.
