Default DPF pressure readings and distance between regens

Did a quick scan yesterday on my 407 HDI - just to see whats what with the DPF.

I've got no issues, bar a slightly reduced MPG over what it once was (down approx 3-4 mpg - no big deal really).

The pressure difference is a steady 51% no matter what rpm I take the reading at.

Average distance between regens (over last 3) is just 340 kms.

I've had a few times that the regen kicked in just before I ended a journey. It then regenned the next day as you'd expect. I wonder is that whats made the average so low.

Any thoughts?... (asides from DPF's being evil )

The pressure difference cannot be a percentage, it's a measurement in mbar, are you looking at the right set of figures?

Filter Load is in a percentage, and wont change by revs.

Sorry Phil - you're right - its the filter load value. 2nd down I think. Thats kind of normal/healthy isnt it?

I've never paid attention to it as it has said my load was 74% but my measured pressure difference was incredibly low for such a high load.

What are your pressure readings at various RPM?

I forgot to ask, are you running the 2.0 or the 1.6?

Phil

Its a 1.6.

What reading(s) should I be looking at then? (I'm in work and have the screen dumps at home so I cant remember the various headings ).

I'm looking to judge the general state of the DPF. Theres 51k on the car. I'm getting chirping on taking up the clutch and when riding the clutch (in traffic or reversing into the drive). The chirps started a year ago but are getting louder. I fear a clutch/DMF is on the horizon.

If the DPF is showing any signs of going down the same road... its gonna be time to trade it in.
