compression figures

2003 307 2.0L petrol auto.

Been told the rings are worn.
Am going to do compression test - anyone
know of any ballpark figures I should be looking at?

Also, are there any guides available on website
for changing the gearbox oil? When cold, the gearbox
clunks into one gear any stays there until the car is
started again - generates an 'auto gearbox' message too.
Anyone else come across this?
