I recently opened my car door (drivers side) and the wind caught it and it seems to have dropped and does not align correctly when closed.
It has now got to the point that it rubs on the wing near the opening brackets. I have looked to see if I can re-alter the door but it looks welded on!?! anyone had the same problem? It now makes a loud noise every time I pen my door due to pinching the wing! Thanks, |

What car is it? There should be a hinge-type connection consisting of two grey metal pieces, one on the door and one on the car. This is specifically for such an instance.
My last car didn't have one, that's why I ask.

Do you have the above-mentioned mechanism on your car?

It has an 'L' shaped joint where it seems welded to the car itself then a pin insert which holds the door...

Is this where the stress was applied and caused the deformation?

It must be but I cant see how you could adjust the pin at all as there is only 1 hole?
it is defiantly the bottom hinge/pin. |

Both pins look fine...I think I see where your coming from...
When the wind blew it open, it really flew open fast...I think it may of bent the hinges perhaps. |
