Hello there.
I recently purchased a cheap 1990 Peugeot 309 GRD and over the last couple of days the engine has coughed for a brief moment after starting it. Yesterday it made a grinding noise which finally triggered the query which should have been put forth when I first noticed the coughing. As the sound came out of the engine where the cam belt is, I figured this was a good place to start looking and it seems that this is the problem as there are more than enough threads about this topic, none of them goes into much detail however. As the threads frequently reference to the service manual which I don't have, I'm wondering if any of you know where I can get hold of one. The only manuals I can find on Amazon and the likes are for the petrol engine. If such a manual is hard to come by, does anyone have a picture of the cam timing marks or have the time to write down a guide on how to change the belt and adjust the timings? Thank you for your interest. |

I've located a copy of Haynes 1266 and Haynes 950 which covers all my Peugeot 309 GRD needs on eBay.
