505 air filter guide?

Okay, I'm trying to do some basic tune up to the peugeot I got a month ago and I'm scratching my head as to how to change the air filter. I have a french manual that's no use besides photos and the user's manual which isn't helpful. So I'm hoping someone out there can point where it is, what to unscrew, a guide? haha. It's a 2.0 STI by the way! Just looking for ways to boost fuel economy in any way.

update: looked in that black tubing and there wasn't anything in there...foam or filter..erm?
