Hi
I bought my 307 with the DPF filter removed and ECU already mapped (Garage had paid someone to do it). It drives fine (bit labourey until about 1500 or so revs til the turbo kicks in, but that's by the by). No warnings on the dash, no limp home mode.... However, upon hooking up PP2000, I cleared all fault codes and then had a look at what returned. There was the following : Diesel fuel additive control unit : Permanent fault. ECU fault. Diesel fuel additive control unit : Permanent fault. Diesel tank cap signal. Open circuit. Diesel fuel additive control unit : Intermittent fault. Diesel additive pump. Open circuit. Hitting "Info" I get the following : Components concerned : [*]Filler cap presence switch (4320)[*]Fuel gauge (4315)[*]Additive low level senor (1283)[*]Fuel additive ECU (1282)[*]Fuel additive injector (1284)[*]Fuel additive pump (1283)[*]The injection ECU (1320) Also, looking in the Engine ECU and checking the fault reading I get : Engine ECU : Permanent fault. Additional heating circuit 2 and pre-heating. Faulty circuit. Engine ECU : Permanent fault. Catalytic converter upstream temperature signal. Short circuit to positive or circuit open. Now I have seen some options in PP2000, in a few configs which say it's still there, for example, the following parameters I have spotted (amongst others) ECU's present > Diesel Additive ECU : Present Engine compartment > Dust filter (FAP) : present Should I be changing these in PP2000?. Like I say it doesn't affect the driving (I don't think anyway). However I can occasionally smell a bit of diesel fumes in the car. (This could be related to a knocking noise so might be totally unrelated....garage crimped the metal pipe that returns back to the engine from just after the cat today, and it's been less smelly IMO). Anyway, thoughts? I have another couple of what I think are completely unrelated faults (Oil temp sensor incorrect value etc), which I'll put in another thread. I've changed those two options above.
Those three faults have now gone (as that ECU is not listed anymore) I can still see reference to the Additive and EOLYS type etc though. Also, the Cat converter upstream fault is still there too ![]() Drives OK though. |

The Cat converter upstream fault is still there I think.
These three faults have now disappeared Diesel fuel additive control unit : Permanent fault. ECU fault. Diesel fuel additive control unit : Permanent fault. Diesel tank cap signal. Open circuit. Diesel fuel additive control unit : Intermittent fault. Diesel additive pump. Open circuit. |

Same as me.
I have been told that there is something to do with a capacitor to make this disappear, but I have no more informations ;-) |

Hi Bod,
I've posted my request on the digital-kaos.co.uk forum, maybe somebody there can help us. Are you happy with your 307 ? ;-) |

I've been told by a pro tuner that you need to set the FAP as present
in the BSI... with PP2000 or diag-b-ox He said also to fill up the additive tank with Gasole to prevent low level error about additive (that I will not do as the pump in the additive tank is broken in my car...) I'll re-enable the FAP to be present in my car at the weekend and I'll post here to say what has changed or not. BTW, I've decided to add more HPs (110 to 140hp) on my car because under 1500rpm I find it too slow compared to my wife's 307 Hdi 1.6 110... |
