need to replace the rack on my 207 1.4 16v is it an easy job and does anyone have a step by step guide thanks.

Not a hard job but difficult to get to usually! It's only a matter of removing the track rod ends, whatever pipes are attached to it, the steering rack, and unbolting it from the bulkhead. BUT the exhaust will probably be in the way, could be wires in the way etc. If you are careful with the order you dismantle it you should be ok. Remember to count the number of turns it takes to remove each track rod end, and ensure the steering wheel is straight when you start and remains that way throughout.

cheers for that info,,,also could any one tell me how long Peugeot would take to do the job as i want a rough price for fitting thanks.

i work in peugeot takes about 1half max u must drop the back of the sub frame to get it out
