My 407 SW has got 90% of the tow bar fitted - all the framework and the electrics, just not the actual tow ball connector. It would look like when selling, they didn't want anyone to know it had one, and I only found out when cleaning the car and looked under the boot.
Has anyone got a suitable redundant one for a 407 SW? Last edited by jmkent; 02-06-2011 at 02:23 PM. |

Mostly.... but then I wondered why they removed the tow ball, and cable tied the electrics to the framework behind the bumper???
On a 2.0 hdi, I wouldn't have thought having a towbar would affect the resale. |

When people see a towbar on a big car they think its been towing stuff and the engine might be knackered , one came off my car before i bought it and i wish they had left it on , i contacted the previous owner and he said it was there but never towed anything.

Looks like this may be a genuine Peugeot tow bar, which they have said its not possible to get parts for the tow bar - has to be sold as a complete unit. Looks like if I can't get the part then I'll try removing it from the car and selling on the parts.
