Default New 207 owner!!

Hi there,

Just a quick hello to you all.

The girlfriend and I have just bought ourselves a 1.4 VTi Sport (95), 57 plate, 29000 miles with 1 years MOT for a grand total of £4700 (+289 for her old car) so £4989 in total.

Now we were about to set off from the garage when I noticed the engine management light on. The garage had a fault code reader and they found it to be the O2 sensor (Lambda). The guy cleared the fault code, even tho the center console still had Plip battery (which I believe to be the fob battery) and also anti pollution fault which I understand to be due to the Lambda/O2 sensor.

The car is under 28 day warranty and the dealer did say run it in to a garage if these persist to get sorted but there is only a £200 limit (awful I know )

Can anyone please tell me the expected cost to have a new sensor supplied and fitted and the key fob battery replaced and all codes cleared.

Many thanks to you all,

Kirk

They need to run it through Peugeot Planet Diagnostics to get accurate codes and if they haven`t got that get them to foot the bill and take it to a main dealer for a code reading , around £60.

The garage that we bought it from popped it on the diagnostics (hand held) and he showed me the only fault that came up was the O2 sensor (lambda) so I know it is that so just need the supply, fitment and clearing of the codes, so I am presuming an hours labour to fit and clear the codes and 50-60 notes for the actual lambda?
Does this sound about right?

Ta

Reading other stuff related to the depollution fault I now realise that this could be anything, I will get them to put it on diagnostics at Bussey's Peugeot in Norwich. Only problem is the limit for the warranty is £200, although this problem was there when we picked it up so shouldn't really come off warranty should it??
