'Cylinder 1 injector ciruit high'. Could be the loom or a buggered connector, or a fault in the injector itself.
Whip 'em out and test them all for resistance - if one is greatly different from the others, it's nacked. If they all seem close then the fault is elsewhere. You seem to have substituted a lorra lorra parts, which has started me thinking 'ECU'...

Stick a multimeter across the terminals on the connector - they should all give a similar reading. A bit of Google searching andyou might even find the correct specin Ohms.
I really am getting a gut feeling that says 'ECU', especially considering all the new parts you've fitted. If the car is a multiplexed car then it will need settingup on Planet, but an older model shouldn't. If the headlamps are clear shiny lenses, it's multiplexed - if it's a sort of frosty finish then it's not.

hi mate, thanks for the reply.i am good with mechanics and bodywork but electronics gives me a nervous twitch.your point about testing injectors i assume is with the injectors removed but still connected to the haness with ignition on so theres a power supply to check.re the ecu the car is a 2000 model 1.4 lx with the frosted lights therefor can the ecu be changed without the need for reprogramming.one last point had another diagnostic done today came up with same fault code but on cylinder 4.have since been told peugeots no1 cylinder is at flywheel end as apposed to the normal cambelt end.sorry for the lenghty post as i am trying to give you as much info as possible. thankyou very much for your patience and help
cheers shaun |
