A 106 owner peugeot noob

Hi all,
I used to drive a 1.4 seat Ibiza, but I have been given a 106 1.5d zest3 which although slower is producing a whole heap more MPG
So I am now the owner of a 98 106 zest 3, 5door 1.5d
It used be the on laws, then went to the sister in law, now me. She used it for a 2 mile commute so it has not had a tough time. My journey is 34 miles a day so the MPG is important to me.
The best bit is the guy I am selling the Ibiza to is giving me a 106 van too. Fun times in a 106 or 2 for me.
the zest is in need of a bit of work, which I will detail later and I'll see the van tomorrow.
by the way could a mod look into enabling tapatalk. I don't seem to find you guys on there. It is a forum browsing app for android and ios too I think.
