Default Why i hate cars!!!!!!

My daughters 1996 peugeot 106 failed its MOT the other day on both front to rear brake pipes and a suspected leaking slave(wheel) cylinder.Thats ok said i thinking a couple of hours work,£20ish in parts and the jobs sorted..........................NOT SO..............
My Eldest son and i have been working on it for 5 hours and its not even stripped down yet  EVERY and i mean EVERY nut, bolt, brakepipe union wouldnt undo at all no matter what we tried, even as a last resort trying stilsons ops: We tried cutting the brakepipe so we could use a single-hex socket still they just rounded off, nothing, absolutely nothing has gone right on this job today so its sat at the bottom of my drive awaiting new idea's, we even had to trash the flexi's and gonna have to replace them as well, pretty much all stripped down now, apart from the leaky cylinder(yep its definately leaking)
but the brake shoes are contaminated with brake fluid so does anyone know whats best/cheapest/free to remove the brake fluid from the shoes so when it goes back for re-test the brake works as it should.
Those of you with small children beware, they grow up and you STILL end up working on cars just theres and not yours all free of course one day i'll getr my parking sensors fitted

The only ones I know are the obvious ones:

Tightening and then loosening
hitting the nut hard a few times.

If it's just a hex head nut, chisel and hammer evenly around it, facing up and down the thread.

If that doesn't come loose, then deffo WD-40 and try again. WD-40 may sink in better if you hit it etc.

Yeah, brake pipes that age a mare, especially if the car has spent any of it's life in the sticks.

What about one of those socket things what grips off rounded nuts, who's what name now totally eludes me?
