I took the car in for a tracking check because it was pulling to the right at motorway speeds. The fitter called me over and showed me that the inside rim of the f/n/s alloy was slightly "flattened" over about 5" of its circumference.
I've not had the car long and I was angry that I was sold a car with a damaged wheel. To cut a long story short, the dealer is going to try to locate a good s/h wheel for me. Anyway, I reckon there must be loads of cars with wheels in a similar state due to the apalling state of our roads. It holds pressure ok so should I be worried/concerned?

Stick the spare on just in case, until you get a new one no point in taking chances .

I found this on one of my 306s a few years back. Was fine when I bought it, but then only reared its head when having new tyres and felt like they were constantly out of balance. In the end, it was down to a small flattening of the inside rim, similar to yours.
I put the new tyre on the spare wheel and drove around like this for a while. After a few weeks, the tyre was 'soft' enough to be put back on the alloy and all felt OK again.

My son had this with his grande punto , He took the wheels to get them painted grey and had the flat bits taken out at the same time. I think they take the tyres off then put the wheel in an oven then turn it in something like a tyre mounting machine that pushes the flat spot back out . HOPE THIS HELPS.

Sounds expensive. By the time you've had this done and then had the wheel repainted I'm betting there wont be any change from £100.
Worth knowing about though. Thanks.

You could always risk it like my mate but his look run out on the m5 he took 50 yards of crash barrier out and ended up facing wrong way and 4 broken ribs to go with it wheel disintegrated that was the verdict anyway.
Wheels brakes and tyres never cut corners with them or buy cheap.
