I've been dying to do some mods to the car and managed to talk my partner into giving me some of his hard earn cash, to do some cheap mods. Anyway, what do you think of what I did? I've put a before and after pic.






I got the grill mod off a thread on here, can't remember which one but I think 407. But I did the doorhandles, just got to get the rear one, and the tail lights.

just remember not to go too far with the chrome, it can look cheap if you do (my opinion)

Which strip did you use for the grill ??

Trem - Only one more chrome bit, which would be the back door handle. And than that's it.

Jazz - Going to be getting another Speedo unit and do the LED changes on that first. And then do it to the on in my car for my partner's 307. And then we'll do the other switches and displays in the car. Just need some money together, as money tied up with us getting our first house.

I wouldn't say there wouldn't be anymore exterior changes, maybe new rear lights at some point but not for a long time. But mostly gonna be interior changes, like fitting a double din unit.

Flames? I'd have all the boy racers trying to race me all the time. As much as I'm a bit of a speed racer... Fuel economy comes into mind.

thank god its not just me i get little boys in their 306's, 106's and corsa trying to race me...best one that had all my mates laughin was this convo....

chav, pulled up in corsa: " 'ere mate, what engine is in that?" (pointing to my focus)
me: "just a 1.2 mate" (blatently lying, its a 1.8tdci, as sig)
chav: "ah give ya a go down a66"
me: laughed and said "nah mate, im ok ta"

anyways he decided to wait till i left and followed. he bombed past me just as i come off the slip road from teesside park (50mph zone)....left him to it.

anyways reached the national speed limit area to where foot met floor...at this point i couldnt see him. as i was approaching the sedgefield turn off i saw him, and of course flogged past him, just slow enough to see his mouth drop.... that will teach him haha.

anyways nice mods, not too much and not too little. as trem says becareful with chrome, ill try and get a pic of my grandads chrome 206...that thing looked like a glimer of light coming towards you on a hot day.

LOL Nice one! I do have a thing at the minute against Saxo's. Maybe it's because I traded my Saxo Desire 1.1 03 in for my 307 Rapier 1.6. I couldn't stand my Saxo at the end of it. Couldn't get rid of the damn thing. It had only done 25000 miles and had been slightly modded, but what Saxo hasn't now?

But anyway, I had this nutty Saxo boy and his gay friend, that's what I think of boy racers who drive round with their best bud in the passenger seat. Gay boys. He'd been sitting on my backside through a 40 and was edging all the time to overtake. He took me on the roundabout to a dual carriageway. His only problem was that I really know that road, so I know where I can just power through the roundabouts because there used to be a HGV stop over there, so the roundabouts have to be wide enough. But anyway, I ploughed passed him with my partner giving him the summit attached to his hand and shoot through the motorway roundabout for junction 1 M54 with him trying to keep up. Thats what I love with the 307, the 1.6 might need a second to get going, but when its going its going!

Here's a funny one, my 1.6 handles slightly better than our 2.0. You can plough round corners with the 1.6 and feel it slightly tilting but it grips perfectly. The 2.0 leans loads and you can feel if you just touched the wheel the wrong way or take your foot off the power, it would slide.
